Where do I park?
Free ample parking is available on High Street in front of the hotel or any side streets.
Do I need to check in or out at the front desk?
No. We provide no stress check in/out: Go straight to your room after 4:00 PM and enjoy! No need to check out, just be out of your room by 11:00 AM. A late check out fee of $25.00 will be charged to your credit card on file to allow for a 1:00 p.m. check out.
Hotel Faust has limited lobby hours. Hotel Faust is a Boutique Hotel (we don't live onsite) but live nearby. If you need assistance during your stay please text/call us @ (830) 431-2112.

What areas at the hotel can I use?
Most of the property is available to our guests. The rocking chairs on the front porch of the hotel, the gazebo, the Smokehouse and the sitting area on the upper deck are all great places to hang out and relax. P.S. We even have a pet cemetery! Please note that for group events you can rent a portion of the property for an additional fee (Breakfast Room, Gazebo, and Grand Salon).
Do you serve breakfast goodies?
Yes, Saturday and Sunday mornings you'll find a nice selection of goodies and coffee.

Do you have bicycles to ride?
Yes, cool retro bikes! Bikes are available to check out. Please text/call us @ (830) 431-2112, plus you'll need to sign your waiver form. Must be 16 or older for bike check out.
Do you have a listing of things to do in the area?
Yes, each room has a reference guide for eating and area activities. We cover not only Comfort but the surrounding Hill Country towns as well. Ask us about our favorite places.
Can I bring kids?
Because Hotel Faust is a historic property with a relaxing ambiance, overnight guests must be twelve or older. Exception: children under 12 are permitted in the Gorman Cottage only. Children are counted toward the maximum occupancy for each room.
Do you offer rollaway beds?
All of our room are designed to comfortably accomodate up to two guests, with the exception of our two-bedroom Gorman Cottage which can accommodate up to four guests. We can provide a rollaway bed for a third guest for $25/night + tax. Please text/call us at (830) 431-2112 to coordinate this if needed. *The Algelt, The Ingenhuett Log Cabin, The Gorman Cottage, Faltin and Goldbeck suites will accommodate one rollaway bed.
Can I Smoke?
Hotel Faust rooms are 100% smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted in any of the suites nor is it permitted anywhere on the gounds except in one designated area. Smoking is permitted in our Smoke House. If a room has been smoked in, the guest will be charged a $250.00 cleaning fee.
Do you have stairs?
We have lots of stairs and no elevators. Most of our rooms have a step up and are only accessible by stairs.
Is the property handicap accessible?
No, the property has lots of stairs and uneven foot paths. Our property is historic and was built in 1880, all buildings are original and we do not have ramps.
Do I need to bring anything special?
You might need to bring personal bug spray and sunscreen in the Spring and Summer. And, we suggest walking shoes and a good book!
Can I bring Pets?
Because of the historic nature of the Hotel Faust, we do not allow pets on the premises. A $250.00 cleaning fee will be charged for breaking the No Pet policy.
Do You Require A Minimum Stay?
Hotel Faust requires a minimum stay of two nights on the weekends. Rooms are released for 1 night bookings on Wednesdays after noon. What is your room cancellations policy?
Cancellations greatly affect a small business like ours with only eight suites. All reservations will be charged in full for failure to show, cancel request shortened stay/check out early with less than 14 days' notice or less than 60 days' notice for group bookings. Cancellation requests must be received by 12:00 PM 14 days before your arrival date and 60 days before your arrival date for groups. No Exceptions.
If you cancel 14 days or more, or 60 days or more on group bookings, a refund will be processed less a $25 cancellation fee.
Group/Block bookings do not include the exclusive use of the Dining Room, Gazebo, Grand Salon, Deck Areas, Courtyard or the other areas on the Property. Private Events require a site fee and must be booked separately.
What if I leave something in my room after check out?
No worries, we'll ship it to you. Shipping cost + $10.00 handling.
